Milton MacKenzie MacLean
1928-2018
Kim, Kathy, Sarah and Jill are sad to announce the passing of
their Dad and Ba. Milton MacKenzie MacLean passed away Tuesday,
October 30th, 2018. Born on March
1st, 1928, he was the
2nd of 7 sons of the late Cecil and May
MacLean.
Dad and mom were married in June 1952, then moved to Toronto
where Dad was a member of the Toronto Metro Police Force for 10 years.
Mom, Dad and Kim moved home to Harvey and Dad started his own
business, MacLean’s Auto Service, which he operated until
early this month.
Dad and Mom enjoyed traveling to many countries over the
years, but their favourite destination was their camp at Harvey Lake.
Dad was many things to many people. He could keep your vehicles
running, fix a bicycle and the wheels on a wagon. For many years dad
was a school bus driver and he always made sure « his kids »
got to school safely. However, his most important job was being a
husband, dad, Ba, son, brother and uncle. He was a member of the Knox
Presbyterian Church, Harvey, an elder of North Park Presbyterian
Church in Toronto, ON, a 60+ year member of Cherry Mountain Masonic
Lodge, Luxor Shriners of NB and Order of the Eastern
Star.
Milton leaves behind his daughters Kim Corey (Mark) and Kathy
MacLean (Wayne); grandchildren Dr. Sarah Piercy (Dave Pennock) and
Jill Mackenzie Corey; brothers Orlie (Eleanor), Wayne (Beryl) and Paul
(Clara) as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dad was predeceased by his wife
Ann (October, 2017); brothers Blake and his wife Delphine, John and
his wife Janice as well as Sydney MacLean; niece Beverly Anne and
great nephews Joel and Colby.
Our family offers heartfelt thanks to the wonderful DECH
nursing staff of 4 SW; Rev. Anne Boudreau and Kim Essensa-Nolais.
Thanks also to to Dr. Joe MacDougall, Tammy Hanselpacker, Dawn and
Shane Pollock of Harvey Pharmacy as well as Dr. Mononita Roy and Dr.
Emma Roberts.
Visitation will be Friday, November
2nd from 5:30 – 9 pm at the Knox
Presbyterian Youth Hall in Harvey. The Funeral Service will be held at
Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey on Saturday, November
3rd at 1 pm with Rev. Anne Boudreau
officiating. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Dad’s
nephews, Trent, Brad, Dan, Hollis and Drew MacLean, Nick MacDonald,
Randy and Mitchell Daigle.
