Obituary of Melvin Alyward
It is with great loss and sadness that the family of Melvin Alyward of Labrador City announces his sudden passing along with his wife Estelle Kelly-Alyward, in a motor vehicle accident on August 2, 2018 at the age of 46 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories son David Alyward (Kendra Gage); parents Johanna & Patrick Alyward of Port au Choix; mother and father-in-law Ivy & David Kelly of Port au Choix; brothers and sisters: Don Alyward, Denise (Tony) Flynn, Daphne Alyward (Paul Baird), Dean Alyward (Liza Layda), Devin Alyward, Stephen (Nadine) Kelly; nieces and nephews; AJ Humber, Donald (Carolyn) Spence, Hunter & Hailee Spence, Georgina Alyward, Michael Alyward, Paul Alyward, Jennifer Alyward, Amanda-Lyn Morgan, Nicole & Marcus Flynn, Daniel Mahoney, Hannah Bond, Emerson Alyward; grandparents: Ellen & Edward Bromley, Michael & Alice Alyward and special friend Rodney (Lindy) Arnold. He is predeceased by brother Wade Alyward, sister Georgina Alyward, brother-in-law Ken Spence. The family will accept friends and family at St. Theresa’s RC Church Port au Choix (DATE TO BE DETERMINED). A double funeral service will be held at the church followed by cremation at Fillatre’s Crematorium in Pasadena. Father Ricardo Rossi of Bird Cove Parish will officiate.
