MELVA JEAN ALLCOCK
1933-2018
Entered into rest peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Bridlewood Manor, with family by her side, Melva Jean Allcock, just days shy of her 85th birthday. Retired Dupont Canada employee, long-time volunteer with BGH and MS Society, and former curler and golfer with BCC.
Born October 31, 1933 in Clarksburg, Ontario.
Survived by her sister Joyce Green-Inglis and brother Bill (Ivy) Mohrhardt of Brockville, and sister-in-law Marlene Allcock of Nottawa. Also survived by nieces and nephews Rick (Caroline), Garry, Mike (Sue), and Susan Green, Bill (Carole), Trudy (Dave Shore), and Jim (Doris) Mohrhardt, Terry, Bob (Jane), Bill and Pat (Wanda) Allcock, Carol Weekes, and Bonnie Buker and close friend Sheila Tilson. Predeceased by her mother Molly Mohrhardt, father Melville Allcock, step-father Bill Mohrhardt, and brothers Douglas and Keith Allcock. Also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, including Rick and Scott Green, Marla Spence, Molly Mohrhardt, Abby, Zoe, Miriam, Naomi Shore, Curtis and Stefan Mohrhardt.
Special thanks to the staff at Bridlewood Manor, Palliative Care, St. Elizabeth and Bayshore for their wonderful care and concern.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A service in honour and celebration of Mel’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:30 am followed by a reception.
