Obituary of Maude Borgal
Maude Borgal – age 96, passed away peacefully at Hillside Pines, Bridgewater on December 26, 2018. Born in Grand Bank, Newfoundland to Morgan and Emily Matthews, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Percy who passed away in 1992. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Bob, Claude, Eugene and sister, Rose. Maude is survived by her daughter, Donna Booth (Gary); step-daughter, Cecelia Wilson; grandsons, Jason Booth (Jenn); Ryan Booth (Alexandria); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Fallon, Araya, Madison, Jordan; sister-in-law, Marge Borgal, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.
Maude was a member of the Kiwanis Club, enjoyed bowling, knitting and being with friends and family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Pines for their great compassion and care during Maude’s time spend there. A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2-4 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A public Interment will be held following the service in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Reverend Angela Clifton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
