Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, after a long and gracious life, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, Mary Keating (nee Walsh) of Renews, aged 101 years. Predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) 1983, parents John and Johannah Walsh, brothers Charles, William, John, and Michael, sisters Philomena and Elizabeth, grandson Wayne Keating, sons-in-law Dunning Bartlett and Thomas King. Left with loving memories and grateful hearts are her children: Gabriel (Gerri), Philomena King, Jean Pearce (George), Doreen Hillier (Dave), Damian, Madonna Collier (Calvin), Mona Bartlett, Brenda Dwyer, Craig (Jennifer), Eugene; sister-in-law Donna Walsh; 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, especially her dear friend and roommate Marie Marrie. Special thanks to the Staff, Fr. Ed Sutton, Sisters of Mercy, and the Pastoral Care team at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John’s, Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm and at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse, Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Church, Renews at 11:00 am, Monday, December 10, 2018 with inurnment to follow at Holy Apostles Cemetery, Renews. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Committee, P.O. Box 59, Renews, NL, A0A 3NO.
