OBITUARY
Mark Stephen Davis
October 29, 1971 – December 14, 2018
On Friday, December 14, 2018, Mark Stephen Davis, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at age 47.
Mark was born on October 29, 1971, in Abbotsford, BC, to Clarence and Ileene (Conroy) Davis. On October 9, 1994, he married Sherry Lynn Mernickle-Oslie. They had two sons, Nathanial and Joshua. Mark achieved the Red Seal Journeyman Chef accreditation, and remained in the food services industry for almost 20 years before transitioning into Strata Property Management, where he not only earned his Strata Property Management designation but Residential Management and Managing Broker designations. He had found his niche in his new career, he was a walking encyclopedia and a wealth of information who was happy to share his knowledge with anyone who asked.
Mark had a passion for food, family and fun. He worked hard, played harder, and was loyal and loved fiercely. Vacations with the whole family or just with Sherry, were always being looked forward to in anxious anticipation. He was so proud of Sherry, Nathanial and Joshua and would brag to anyone who’d listen. He was known for his hard work, big heart, quick wit, sense of humour, animated story telling and could be heard saying “It Is What It Is” when there just wasn’t anything else to say.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Sherry, two sons Nathanial, and Joshua, parents Clarence and Ileene (Conroy) Davis, sister Mona (Brian) Davis, in-laws Craig and Arlene (Wardrop) Oslie and Jim and Angie (Declare) Mernickle, brother-in-law’s Cory (Jamie) Mernickle-Oslie, Christopher (Lyndsay) Oslie-Jones, Larry Mernickle, and Jordan Mernickle, nephews Christopher (Maia) Davis and Stephen (Clara) Davis, and Logan Mernickle-Oslie, nieces Amy Davis and Lily Mernickle-Oslie, Great-Niece Elena Davis Oostenbrink, and several Aunts , Uncles, Cousins and Extended Family. A Celebration of Life to be held at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Rd, Abbotsford, on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 11:00 am. We ask that, in lieu of flowers, you donate to one of the charities Mark supported below in his honour:
• Abbotsford Food Bank;

• Justice Centre;
• Variety Children’s Charity;
• World Vision; or
• Any other charity of your choice.
