The family announces with sorrow his passing on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at the age of 44 years. Loving husband of April. Proud father of Paul (17), Hayden (15) and Brody (11). Cherished son of Marilyn and the late Paul Yakabuski. He will be dearly missed by Kari Yakabuski of Ottawa, Klare Yakabuski of British Columbia and Matt Yakabuski (Erinn) of Ottawa. He will be greatly missed and always remembered by his mother in-law Peggy Baillie and his late father in-law Brian Baillie. His sister in-law Sherry Legnaro (Donnie), Peggy Campbell (Gerald), Amanda Baillie and his brother in-law Tony Legnaro (Robin). Wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. He leaves to mourn his loss his special friends Grace and Jack Lachance. Mark’s love, generosity and passion showed in every aspect of his life, but most importantly for his family. He was a devoted father who loved spending time with his boys and their friends. An active member of the hockey community, Mark was an avid player and dedicated coach who inspired many young players. Mark had a impactful career with Gemalto, due to tireless worth ethic and his ability to lead and mentor many. To his close friends, he was known for his loyalty, humour and selflessness. In everything Mark did, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Whether he was a life-long friend or short-term acquaintance, Mark made one feel like part of his inner circle. But above all, Mark adored his wife April. Family and friends may pay respects at a funeral service in memory of Mark at the Johnny Leroux Arena, 10 Warner-Colpits Lane, Stittsville on June 1st, 2018 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
