It is with heavy hearts the
family announces her passing on December 24, 2018 at the Pine Grove
Nursing Home. Marie was predeceased by her husband Robert of 68 years,
her mother Mytle Nason (1989), her father Loran (1971), brothers Ken
(Paula) of Saint John, Norman Tilley of Tracy and sister Ruby Robinson
of Fredericton Junction.
Marie is survived by her sons Gary of
Rusagonis, Michael (Glenna) of Beaverdam and daughter Ann (Gregg) of
Rusagonis, grandchildren Cathy Flanagan, Erin Hetherington, Kyle
Hetherington (Amanda) as well as four great-grandchildren Jesse,
Drayden, Stenson and Spencer and many nieces and nephews
Marie was a
teacher during the second world war, teaching in the Rusagonis and
Sunpoke area, and later worked for Sears. Marie enjoyed traveling with
her husband Bob, visiting many places including Europe, Southern
States and many south sea Islands.
Marie was a
Christian by faith giving her comfort in life and especially during
the time her health was failing. Special thank you to her dear friends
Loretta Bourque, Maureen Patriquin and the many caring staff at Pine
Grove Nursing Home.
Visitation
will be held at the Rusagonis United Baptist Church, Friday December
28, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral service will be held at the same
venue on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor Brent
MacDonald officiating, assisted by Pastor David Gray. Interment will
be in the spring.
For those who
wish as an alternative to flowers, a memorial donation may be made to
the Alzheimer’s Society of NB. A reception will be held
following the service.
