Obituary of Lovette Trimper
Lovette Trimper, born November 16, 1923, passed away at home on October 25, 2018. He was the son of the late Charles and Jessie (Rosencrantz) Trimper and he was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Lovette was an old school farmer who worked hard, loved and respected his land and loved to hunt.
He is survived by his wife Edith (Gidney); his sons Dale (Barb) of Digby; Steve (Linda) of Mount Pleasant; Seldon (Dorothy) of Bridgewater; Roland (Gloria) of Doucetteville; his daughters Catherine (Larry) Robicheau of Conway; Twyla Doherty of Waterville; twelve grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Step-children Richard Gidney of Eastern Passage; Greg (Sandy) Gidney of Lake Echo; Ralph (Barb) Gidney of Milton; Michael Gidney of Digby; Paul (Lola) Gidney of Culloden; Linda (Wendell) Gregory of Culloden; Pam Gidney of Kamloops, BC and Susan Gavel (Paul) Richmond of British Columbia.
Besides his parent, Lovette was predeceased by his two brothers and ten sisters and a grandson in infancy. He was also predeceased by two stepsons William and John Gidney.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Union Cemetery, Culloden. A reception will follow at the Culloden Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made in Lovette’s memory to a Charity of One’s Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
