Sprague, Lloyd Ivan
SPRAGUE, Lloyd Ivan, 64, of Mt Uniacke, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Halifax Infirmary on Sunday August 26, 2018. Born in Alberton, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Ivan Isaac Sprague and the late Edith Irene Getson.
He is survived by his wife: Cindy Lou (Warnell), daughter: Amanda Aileen, grandson: Kyle Dylan, granddaughter: Makayla Angel, brothers: Earl “Bill” (late Hazel Harrington), Mt Uniacke, N.S., Brandon (Lynn), Wellington, N.S. and Christopher, Halifax, N.S., sisters: Judith (late Clarence Swaine), Halifax, N.S., Deborah (Frank McMillan), Kildare, P.E.I. and Shelley, Halifax, N.S., brothers-in-law: Austin (Jeannie), James (Gail) and Dean, sisters-in-law: Bonnie and (late) Mabel. His special furry friend: Bear.
Lloyd had been employed by Matattal Signs, a profession he enjoyed and missed.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching old movies, especially those with John Wayne, while indulging in cheeseburgers and strawberry milkshakes. Spending time at “the camp” with his brothers and friends hunting. These were special times for him. Lloyd was a loving man who was very content and happy with his life, a man who was always there when needed, and did not refuse help to anyone. He will always be remembered with love by his family.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Cole Harbour Funeral Home. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Lloyd’s life.
