In the early morning of March the 3rd Marg’s spirit departed this world after losing a short, intense battle to cancer. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family. Predeceased by her parents Olwen and Russell Livingstone. Left to mourn are her husband Steve Lumb, daughter Sherry Brookbank (Steve), son Darryn Wieczorkowski (Rita), daughter Betty-Jo Van den Bergh (Dan) and son Peter Lumb (Lise). Grand children Erik, Drew, Nathan, Joshua, Jaden, Kasey, Gabriel, Brooklin, Lucy and siblings Joy Cameron and Gerald Livingstone. Marg’s greatest passion in life was her family. Nothing made her prouder than her children and grandchildren. In her many years as a Community Support Worker Marg provided care and comfort to her clients and their families. As a founding member of the Lake Cowichan Animal Rescue Society Marg dedicated herself to saving, caring for, and rehoming over one thousand animals during her tenure. She was an enthusiastic and giving volunteer who enjoyed supporting her community in many different areas. Marg endured her illness with grace and dignity. She was fiercely independent, highly spirited with incredible strength. Our family would like to express our profound thanks to Heather Taylor NP whose care and compassion allowed Marg to be at home for most of her illness. Also thanks to friends Kilby Cottingham, Kay Kirkby, Tony Green, Curtis Laminski and Darren Maizis for their kindness and assistance. As per Marg’s wishes no public service will be held.
