Leslie Woods
1938-2018
ALDOUANE, NB – Leslie Woods, 79, of
Aldouane passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital,
Ste-Anne on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Born in Rexton, he was the son of
the late George Hudson and Pearl Woods. An avid outdoorsman, Leslie
loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and driving his four wheeler. He
was a former volunteer firefighter and was a past member of the Lions
Club.
Leslie will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59
years, Alfreda (née Robichaud); his four daughters, Gloria
Fontaine (Gervais) of Saint-Charles, Norma Woods-Ross (Dave) of Palmer
Rapids, ON, Sandra Woods-Poulin (Eric) of Blanchard Trail and Linda
Woods (Berni) of Aldouane; two sons, Ronnie Woods (Deborah) of
Peterborough, ON and Dannie Woods (Brenda) of Oshawa, ON; nine
grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Leslie also leaves to mourn his sister, Catherine
Maillet (Aurèle) of Moncton; step-sister, Marguerite Little
of Rexton; two brothers, Brian Hudson (Irene) of Shediac and Norman
Hudson (Cathy) of Campobello Island; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Leslie is predeceased by five
step-sisters, Jane, Mary, Eileen, Rita and Patsy; as well as by seven
step-brothers, Willie, Lorne, Eldred, Bernard, Ivan, Emery, Raymond
and Ethan.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm only. A Funeral
Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June
11th, 2018 at 4:00 pm,
Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations
in Leslie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer
Society.
