Leroy Joseph Darte
Leroy J.
Darte, 87, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital
on Monday, September 24, 2018. Born in DeSable, PEI, he was
the son of the late Daniel and Elsie (Ferguson)
Darte.
Leroy was
retired from H.E. Fisher Transport & N.B. School District #2
as a driver. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church
and was a member of Sunny Brae Legion Branch #54. Leroy enjoyed doing
puzzles, listening to gospel music and spending time with his family
and friends in Prince Edward
Island.
Leroy will
be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years, Deborah (Lovelock) Darte;
son, Michael Darte (Tanya) of Alberta; stepson, Andy Lovelock of
Moncton; cherished grandchildren, Devon, Roman and Italia as well as
many extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by his step-brother, Gerald
Darte.
Resting at
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with
visiting hours on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A
Service to celebrate and honour Leroy’s life will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 1:30
pm with Rev. Rob Salloum presiding. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in St.
John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Crapaud, PEI on Friday,
September 28, 2018 at 12:00 pm.
