OBITUARY
Klara Wilma Streich
March 9, 1926 – July 16, 2018
STREICH, Klara Wilma – Born in Germany in 1926. It is with great sadness that her family announces her passing on the morning of Monday, July 16th 2018 in her 92nd year, with her son at her side. She joins her husband in “Ewige Ruhe”.
Klara and Herbert married in 1948, emigrated from Germany in early 1950s and bravely built a humble and beautiful life in Toronto. Herbert passed away in 2011. Klara shared a quiet home life, love of family, gardening, crosswords, music, theatre, operetta, day trips to Niagara Falls, and above all, a love for all of God’s creatures. Klara will be remembered most for her gentle kind heart, patience, and subtle wit.
Klara will be missed deeply by her sons Ralph (Rita) and Roy. Her grandchildren Christy, Charlie (Lisa), Erika (Eric), Celene, Stephanie, and Nicholas will miss their Oma.
Family and friends are welcome to remember Klara. Visitation for Klara will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7 to 9 PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 20, 2018 at 1:30 PM followed by interment at St. Margaret in-the-Pines Cemetery, 4130 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON.
Small reception for family and friends to follow in Pickering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Klara’s memory to:
