Surrounded by his loving family, Kenneth Albert Raynes passed away peacefully on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Milkish Creek, NB on January 15, 1932 he was the son of the late Arthur and Janet (Clark) Raynes. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Isabell Louise (Mercer) Raynes; brothers Everett, Ralph and Benjamin Raynes; sisters Evelene Raynes, Helen Speight, Muriel Bishop, Rena McKnight, Mae Moore and Barbara Raynes.
He is survived by his sons Kenneth (Elizabeth) of Carters Point, Frederick (Lisa) of Milkish Creek and Michael (Angela) of Milkish Creek; daughter Marie Louise Rowley (Donald) of Carters Point; sister Mabel Lawless of Saint John; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Harding’s Point Loyalist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Kenneth may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
