It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing in his sleep of our brother, Kelly. Kelly was born in Vernon and lived the majority of his simple but happy life here. He especially enjoyed the summers, spending time camping, fishing and riding his bike through local streets and parks. Kelly was predeceased by his parents, Douglas E. Cole and Pauline M. Cole. He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his brother, Barry of Aldergrove and his three sisters, Janet, Laurie and Colleen, all of Vernon. He will be remembered by Cindy and their son, Jeramie. In addition, Kelly will be sorely missed by his best friend, Randy –a steady and valued companion for more than 20 years. They watched out for each other and with their kind hearts, helped old and new friends in times of need. Kelly had many struggles in his life. He appreciated his family, extended family, and friends. He spoke fondly of the Upper Room Mission and the good folks who work and volunteer there. Donations in Kelly’s memory can be made to upperroommission.ca or The Salvation Army Food Bank.Cremation has been been handled at Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services. There will be no service. Family will gather in summer 2018 to share memories.
