Karen Gascon (Redmond)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of 57 years. Beloved partner of Bert Vandeligt of Blezard Valley. Daughter of the late Gerald and the late Lucille (née MacKinnon) Redmond. Loving mother of Tim Gascon and Julie Gascon both of Hanmer. Dear sister of Marie Dowdall (Denis), Debbie Gatchell (Lance), Michael Redmond and Robert Redmond (Peggy). She will be sadly missed by her grand puppy Lucky. She will missed by many nieces and nephews. The staff at Neil’s Your Independent Grocers will miss her as she worked there since it opened over 20 years ago. She enjoyed her weekly visits with her daughter and Lucky. Lucky always knew when it was Wednesday and he would get all excited because he was going to see grandma. She would play with Lucky and spoil him with new toys or by giving him treats. She enjoyed going on vacation every year to somewhere hot with Bert, to get away from the cold weather. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph Street, Hanmer, Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation can be made by cheque or online. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
