1949 – 2018
Mrs. Karen Jean Neumeier of Bentley, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 69 years surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born in Peace River, Alberta to Jean and Clarence Taylor. She was raised in Rimbey, Alberta and after marrying the love of her life, Allan Neumeier, they moved to the farm at Bentley, Alberta, she devoted herself to her husband and children. She became the perfect role model of kindness and grace. Karen was a hard worker who spent countless hours working on and off the farm. She loved watching her children play sports and happily drove them to thousands of events and activities. Karen had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and the many pets she loved. Karen will be lovingly remembered by husband, Allan Neumeier, daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Kalev of Eckville, Alberta, and sons, Wesley (Judie) Neumeier of Fort. St. John, British Columbia and Kevin (Shawna) Neumeier of Spruce Grove, Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren, sister, Kathryn (Karl) Neumeier, brother, Ken Taylor, numerous family members and dear friends. Karen was predeceased by parents, Jean and Clarence Taylor and sister, Ruth Strum. Karen’s family is very grateful for the excellent care given by all of the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit in the Red Deer Regional Hospital. A Casual Gathering will be held at the Rimbey Peter Lougheed Centre, 5109 – 54 Street, Rimbey, Alberta on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Private Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held prior to Gathering in Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Karen’s honour may be made directly to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation at www.rdrhfoundation.com.
