Obituary
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of June on Oct. 2, 2018. She was surrounded by family and friends and will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years George, children Michael (Hilary) and Mary-Ellen (Ryan), grandchildren Connor and Cody, brother Tom, nieces and nephews, and numerous family and friends. June was preceded in passing by her parents Tom and Anne and brothers Dan and Patrick. June was born in Banff, AB and grew up in Three Hills, AB. She met George at UBC and had a wonderful career as a high school teacher at Burnaby North Secondary. June and George have lived in West Vancouver for over 50 years. Her love for family, friends and faith was always strong. The family wishes to thank the excellent nurses and doctors who cared for June at Lions Gate Hospital during the past few weeks. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday Oct. 24 at Christ the Redeemer Church at 599 Keith Road in West Vancouver with a reception immediately to follow. A vigil prayer will be held on Tuesday Oct. 23 at 6:00 pm at the Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate June’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
