With heavy hearts the family of June Elizabeth Piper (Morrell) announces her peaceful passing that occurred on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at Turnbull Nursing Home. Born 1942 in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Phyllis (Harben) Piper. June had many careers including selling auto ads for the Telegraph Journal but her passion was hairdressing and she had a long career doing so. She was a talented cook/baker, thoroughly enjoyed music and dancing but most of all she enjoyed gatherings with family, friends and her kitty cats. She is survived by her daughters Michele (Jim) Pineo of Saint John, Debbie Ricker of Moncton and Karen Roy of Fredericton; their father Jack Morrell; brothers Gordon, Alan (Betty) and Derek (Terry) Piper all of Minto; sister Charlene (Ralph) Thorhauge of Ottawa; grandchildren Christopher, Katie, Cassidy, Haley, Brian, Kara, Emily and Hillary and nephews Ralph, Greg, Mike, and Doug all in Ontario.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. By her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society, Canadian Mental Health or the SPCA Animal Rescue.
