KOVÁCS, Jozsef March 15, 1930 – September 21, 2018 Born in Hungary, Jozsef went back home to his Creator, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Bonin) of 56 years. Son of Janos Kovács (1986) and Katalin Toth (1978). Loving father of Stephane (Lisa), Michel (Holly) and Brigitte. Grandpapa of Justin (Melissa), David (Tara), Cassandra (Matt), Natasha, Krista and Megan. Great-Grandpapa of Gunner (Kiss Jozsi), Elisabeth, Brayden and Austin. Brother of Maria (1996), Istvan (Margit Molnár), Janos Jr. (2001) (Zsuzsa Horvath), Erzsi (Jozsef Krazsnovszki-2009), Katie, and lots of nieces and nephews from Hungary, Timea (Andrew Kovács), Emma, and Melinda of Windsor, the Bonin family from Québec, Gisèle OMMI (2010), Réjean, Yvonick (2004), Marie Reine (Paul Carignan), Fernand (Florida Amos-2018), Réjeanne (Lucien Roy), Gerard (Suzanne Dupont), Jeannine (Jacques Cloutier), Denis (Gisèle Gagnon) and many nieces and nephews. Jozsef was a Member of Mindszenty Hungarian Cultural Centre, Knights of Columbus – 3rd Degree, Most Precious Blood Council 9645, Colour guard, 4th degree Fr. Alphonse Kerckhaert Assembly 2289. Jozsef loved singing and dancing. He was a dedicated employee of Ford for 25 years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Age d’or prayers at 4:15 pm. Parish prayers at 7:30 pm and followed by Knights of Columbus prayers. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Jerome’s Church (3739 Ypres Street) for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10 am.
