It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Argue, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on August 14, 2018. Beloved husband of Elsie (nee McIntosh). Loving father of Jason and Kristine (Chris Lewis) and stepfather of Ryan Smith (Krystal Benn) and Laura Smith (Alexandru Avram). Dear grandfather of Ethan, Madeline, Asher and Agnes. Predeceased by his brother, Charlie. He will be missed by his many family and friends as well as by his faithful dog, Sadie. The family wishes to thank Dr. MacLellan and the staff of Shawville hospital for their compassion and care. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral will follow on Saturday, August 18 in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Shawville, Quebec at 11 a.m. Interment Norway Bay United Cemetery. Donations to Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
