LYE, JOHN PERCY WILLIAM “JACK”
Retired Postmaster, Tweed, & Railway Mail Car Attendant, Canada Post
Peacefully in the loving embrace of his family on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 at the Belmont Long Term Care Facility, Belleville, Jack Lye of Belleville died at the age of 100. Son of the late John Percy William Lye & Margaret Ann Lucy (nee Weir) and husband of the late Elizabeth Gertrude (nee McQuire). Survived by his sister Sharron Holland of Brockville and predeceased by his brother Robert Lucy and his sister Beverley Roy. Special uncle to Margot Graham of Belleville and remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lye is resting at the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080) for visitation on Monday, October 15th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Brian Russell from St. Michael the Archangel Church, Church Street, Belleville on Monday, October 15th, 2018 at 2 p.m. Rite of Committal with Prayers at St. James’ Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Quinte Humane Society or St. Michael the Archangel Church would be appreciated by the family.
