Obituary of James Saunders
James Patrick Saunders passed with peace and grace at his home on October 18th with his family at his side. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Mildred (Hurley) Saunders; brothers: Harold, Joe and Albert; sister and brother in laws: Betty, Olga, Ron Penney, Bert and Ida Wheaton and Hazel and Mike Delaney. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Yvonne; brother: Jack; children: Jim (Annette), Kim (Robert), Janet (Nick), John (Kandy), Michelle and Brad; grandchildren: Amanda, Nicole (Duane), Jenny (Pat) and Conrad (Jenay); great grandchildren Lily and Connor; furry companion Maggie as well as members of the Hurley family. A special thanks to “his girls,” Christine, Sherry, Liz, Colleen and Gail, for their care, compassion and friendship right to the end. We are very thankful for his large circle of family and friends who will forever be touched by having known him. Visitation will take place on Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 2-4pm, 8-9:30pm and Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Norris Arm, South. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am, with interment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to the church building fund.
