James Richardson
RICHARDSON, James – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James Douglas Richardson, on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018, in his 68th year. Loving husband to Diane (nee Snow) Richardson for 46 years. Beloved father of Carrie Smith and Ryan MacNeil. Worlds Greatest Poppy to Logan (Alysha Hynes) Richardson, Cassidy and Sierra Smith, Emily, Easton, and Ava MacNeil. Dear son of James Richardson SR and the late Verna (nee Garfat) Richardson. Sisters Glenna Richardson and Janet Ionson. Brother-in-law to Loretta Shaman, Lorene Sanderson, and Robert and Beth Snow. Predeceased by his mother Verna Richardson, father-in-law Audrey Snow and mother-in-law Evelyn Snow, brothers-in-law Robert Sharman, Robert Sanderson, Kevin Bowers, and Allan Ionson. Jim will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jim loved his family, his vintage tractors, and his cat Patches. Jim worked for many years at Timberjack Inc, then into “retirement” doing renovations. He was the local handyman, always helping someone. Jim was also a member of the Burford Tractor Club. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Sunday August 19, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm, and again on Monday from 10am-11am where the funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Oxford Centre Pioneer. If desired, memorial contributions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
