OBITUARY
Jackie Foy
March 28, 1941 – October 15, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Foy announces his passing on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Atikokan General Hospital.
Jack was born on March 28, 1941 in Vida, MB. He was united in marriage to Julie Huff on August 7, 1959 and together they moved to Atikokan. He worked odd jobs until becoming employed at Steep Rock. He worked at Steep Rock until its closing and then finished his working career at ProBoard, retiring at 65. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, canoeing, trapping, tinkering and feeding the chipmunks. He was a member of the Moose Club and the Weightlifting Club.
He leaves behind children Jacqueline (Alvin) Johnson of Atikokan, Craig Foy of Edmonton, AB and Paula Foy of Atikokan; grandchildren Ashley (Erin Zacharies) Johnson, Brodie Gallinger, Haylee Foy (Ryan Bolduc), Saryn Foy, Ashley Foy, Anthony Foy and Angeline Foy; great grandchildren Gabriel Zacharies, Codie Gallinger, Carter and Jackie Foy; step grandson Jay (Shannon) Johnson and their children Cole, Cade and Cara; siblings Albert Foy, Art McDonald, Lenny Beckett and Muriel Houle.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Peter and Rose; wife Julie; daughter Coralee Foy; stepfather Arthur McDonald; siblings Madeline, Wilfred and Paul Foy.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Atikokan.
