BARTEAUX, Helen Joyce ~ age 82 of Lawrencetown, NS passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Liverpool, NS she was a daughter of the late Laurie and Mary (Bennett) Wamboldt. Helen was a long-time member of the Lawrencetown United Church having served as an Elder of the church and a member of the United Church Women and later began attending the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church. Helen retired from nursing at Mountain Lea Lodge and Crosskill Court, Bridgetown after 22 years. She loved music and line dancing and was a fantastic cook and enjoyed baking. Helen loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, David (Rose) Barteaux, Wilmot and Janice (Doug) Rochow, Orleans, ON; sister, Roselyn Batt, Dartmouth; brother, Douglas Wamboldt and her companion Bill Little, Forest Glade. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dean; sisters, Judith and Marilyn; brothers, William; Lawrence “Sonny”; Robert; Malcolm “Tex Leon” and a brother in infancy. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. The family invites you to celebrate her life 2:00PM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church, 430 Main Street with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the church hall. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church, Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity of your choice.
