OBITUARY
Gertrude Eleanora Holm
May 17, 1926 – March 11, 2018
Trudy went home to Heaven from her home while surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Clanwilliam Munc. Manitoba, Trudy spend many years in Manitoba and moved to B.C. in 1957. While living in Victoria she operated C&M GEST GIFT SHOP. They moved to Cumberland then back to Victoria when the grandchildren arrived. Spent 23 years in Fort St. John where she became a minister and
founded Abundant Life Chapel. They moved back to Courtenay in 2002 and continued on with the church
ministry.
Trudy is survived by her husband of 72 years Evert Holm, daughter Starr Martin (George – the son she
never had). Grandchildren, Tami LeClerc (Lane), Dan Martin (Roxanne). Great grandchildren Ali, Colten,
Kia, Joey, Amanda, Allysha, Victoria, Scott. Great great granddaughters Alayah, Ava Teal. Brother Earl Naswell.
Predeceased by parents Mary and Elikem Naswell, inlaws Andres and Wilemena Holm, sisters Thelma Abel, Martha Peterson, Doreen Goodridge, brothers Larry, Johnny Frank Naswell.
Mom loved Jesus more than anything else and when you met her you would see the love of Jesus shine
through, Her phone message was “We love you and so does God”.
There are not words to express our gratitude to Dr. Marcus Langhans for his kindness and compassion.
Also thank you to Kathy and Katherine. Many thanks to the care aids and nurses especially Sarah, Sylvia and Andrea, also gals at Shoppers. She loved you all, Special hug to Judy.
