Pluecks, George:
With his family at his side, George passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Innisfree House at the age of 67.
Beloved husband of 45 years to Mary (nee Kekish). Loving father to Cheryl and Chris. Cherished son of Karl and Ursula Pluecks and son-in-law to Cecilia Kekish. Dear brother of Juergen (Johanne), David (Kim), Cindy (Joe) Michaelis and brother-in-law to Larry, and Paul (Pat) Kekish. Uncle to Jonathon, Shawna, Jasmine, Hudson and Rae Lynn. He will be remembered by his many relatives and friends.
He was a very dedicated blood donor giving over 200 donations. George worked for Dutch Boy for many years and retired from Linamar. He was an avid Tim Hortons fan and visited weekly with his coffee buddy Ron, he also enjoyed playing hockey in the K-W Oldtimers League.
George’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. with the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Private cremation has taken place.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Innisfree House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
