Frances « Eileen » Craig
December 1, 1926 – August 29, 2018
The passing of Frances « Eileen » Craig of Riverview, NB, formerly of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Donald Craig occurred on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Grass Home, Riverview, NB. Born on December 1, 1926 in Oromocto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Violet (Drost) Foss. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Eileen was a homemaker in the original sense of the word. She cared for her family throughout her married life in Niagara Falls and Fredericton. She was the original « recycler » who was a master knitter, sewer and quilter. Eileen loved to spoil her granddaughters and great grandson, who were the true joys of her life. She also had a soft spot in her heart for her great granddogs, Lucy and Rico, the little caregiver who visited her faithfully at Grass Home. Our sincere thanks to Grass Home in Riverview, who provided such excellent loving care in the last years of our Mom’s life.
Eileen is survived by her children, Donna (Gerry) Craig-Gaudet and Edward Craig both of Moncton, NB and Tamela (Wasfi) Georgi of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren, Aimee and Natalie; one great grandson, Itzael; siblings, Esther of Niagara Fall, ON, Marion of Fredericton, NB and Roger of Minto, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, Ronald, Gordon, Murray, George, Kenneth, Earl and Harold.
