FERGUSON, Clayton “Joe”

of Angus, passed away peacefully on January, 19th 2018
at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 68.
Born in Kingston, ON, spending most of his life in the Barrie area.
Beloved husband of 39 years to Helena (Helen) (nee Malarczyk).
Much loved father of Christopher R.J. Ferguson.
Lovingly remembered brother of Eva (Frank Boegart) of Kitchener,
Paullette of Victoria, B.C., and Lynda (Ian Riddell) of Newmarket.
Dear brother-in-law of Fred (Cathy) Malarczyk, and John (Lauraine) Malarczyk.
Cherished Uncle to Natalyee (Lionel) Smith, Joel and Jonah Ferguson,
Genevieve (Chris) Wilson, Antoni (Fiancée Laura) Malarczyk,
John (Fiancée Mackenzie) Malarczyk, Michael (Taylor) Malarczyk.
Clayton enjoyed an active lifestyle which included his love for
hunting, fishing, and boating on the Rideau Canal.
Clayton was also fond of Karate and achieved a first degree black belt.
He also achieved his wings as a private pilot.
In his final years of working, he was a Manager of
Student Finance at Everest College in Barrie.
Clayton was appointed trustee in the year 2005 at the
Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
Elected as trustee in 2006 and 2010.
He was Vice Chair in 2010, Chair of the Board for
the years 2011, 2012, and 2013.
His last year as a trustee for the SMCDSB was 2014.
Friends may pay their respects at the
Steven R. Bridge Funeral Home, Angus
on Friday, January 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Parish prayers to commence at 8 pm.
Mass of a Christian Burial,
Saturday, January 27th at 11am,
St. Joseph Chapel, 535 Dieppe Road, CFB Borden.
Spring internment-Barrie Union Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre-Odette Cancer Centre
would be appreciated by the family.
