Obituary of ELIZABETH (BETTY) DIANNE BANNERMAN
ELIZABETH (BETTY) DIANNE BANNERMAN
(Nee DOLYNIUK)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Dianne Bannerman on December 3, 2018
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Kay and Henry Dolyniuk, and sister Eleanor.
She is survived by her son Marcel Jr., daughter Michelle, (Richard), cats and ‘grand’-cats, brother Ernie, (Donna), sisters Joni and Barbie, (Wayne), many nephews, nieces, and many dear friends, whom she considered close family.
Betty was always a guiding light in her children’s lives and for many others. She instilled a strong work ethic in her children as well.
Mom was an amazing gardener and took great pride in her flowerpots. They were showstoppers, for sure. Every year, Betty would carefully choose her flowers and ornamental grasses with her daughter at the Carman Nursery. Betty and her son would plan the garden each growing season to get the very best bumper crops of their favorite vegetables.
Mom loved to spend the sunny days outside looking after and feeding all the neighbourhood critters. Nothing went hungry in her yard. Betty was a dedicated daughter, excellent sister, great mother, amazing aunt, accomplished cook, gracious hostess and tremendously respectful to all.
Betty was an exceptionally caring lover of animals and gifted caregiver. They all loved her too. All of Betty’s pets were rescues. There will be many to greet Betty, when she approaches the Rainbow Bridge.
Our entire family would like to extend our most sincere thank you to each and every one of the first responders, as well as Dr. Peters of St. Boniface Emergency Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal charity of your choice.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Rainbow Bridge:
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge, because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one runs from the group. You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take them in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pets.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de ELIZABETH BETTY DIANNE
