Obituary of Dorothy Sewell
1937 – 2018
With broken hearts the family announces the tragic death of Dorothy on Monday, April 23, 2018. Proud and loving mother of Kirk, Sandra, and the late Todd. Predeceased by her former husband Edward. Devoted Nan to Elwood, Todd, Sam and Jessica, and fun Great-Nan to Jakob, Aria and Yvaine. Dearest sister and best friend to Joan (Tom). The best shortbread cookie maker for her niece Lynda (Peter), nephew Bryan (Jennifer) and their families. She will always be remembered by her friends Marion, Doreen and Nancy. She was an avid fan of Toronto ‘s sports teams (win or lose), enjoyed volunteering for several causes, and was an employee of Sears Canada for 26 years. To Dorothy the cup was always full. She was a very active lady who thoroughly enjoyed life and will be missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St . (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 1:30pm with visitation from 12:30pm. Cremation. If desired donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
