Obituary for
Dorothy Fulton Myatt (McInnis)
MYATT, Dorothy Fulton (McInnis)
Dorothy passed away peacefully in the palliative care of Starwood Extendicare with her beloved husband at her side on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the age of 88. Much loved wife for almost 62 years of Edward (Ed) and dear mother of Valerie and Glenn (Lisa) and wonderful Nanny to Sarah, Jessica, Steven, Jonathan, Christina and great-grandmother to Sophia. Nanny will be deeply missed and we are grateful for so many precious memories. Born in Chipman, NB on February 25, 1930 to the late Gertrude (Fulton) and father Charles McInnis, Dorothy lived a full life that included travel, her love of music and creating beautiful works of art along with her deep love for family and family traditions. When diagnosed with semantic dementia Dorothy fought with dignity, grace and a great feisty strength as was always her nature. Moving to Starwood she experienced the loving and professional care of PSWs, nurses and staff. The family would like to especially express our deepest appreciation to Daniel and Flo. Friends and family are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. (at Richmond Rd.) on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 11a.m. – 1p.m. Service in the Chapel at 1:00p.m. Reception will follow.
