It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Mildred (Faechner) Doering, announce her peaceful passing on December 6 at the age of 81 years. Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Adolph Doering of St. Paul; 5 children, Colleen (Darrell) Callihoo of Onoway, Cindy (David) Scott of Marsden, SK., Katie Doering of Bonnyville, Lorena (Ward) Plamondon of Parkland County & Ritchie (Lois) Doering of Glendon; 11 grandchildren, Craig (Loreta), Robin (Leroy), Jason, Amanda (Jeff), Shawn (Charlene), Shane (Meghan), Derek (Alicia), Jonathan (Katy), Kris (Becca), Rayah & Becki; 7 great-grandchildren, Marlowe, Lennox, James, Allison, Olivia, Tia & Macey; sister, Mildred Mabbott; brother, Andy Faechner. Shirley was predeceased by her son, Kim; parents, Emanuel & Olga Faechner; sister, Alice; brother, Edward.
Shirley will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her strength and determination, her love of gardening, flowers, her wonderful home cooked meals, her crocheting & embroidery, her love of trying new crafts & recipes. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by her family & friends, including her Extendicare family who have cared for her since September of 2014. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Mr. Henry Loewen will be officiating. Cremation has taken place.
