Remembering Deste
After a life well lived, she passed away at the NHS – General SIte on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Andy Ferguson (1998) and Murland Foss (2013). Loving mother of Deste Kuhn (Jerry), Bruce Ferguson (Patricia), the late Donald (2005) and loving mother-in-law of Joanne. Cherished grandma of Deste, John (Rita), Barbara Dawn, Philip (Allison), Paul, Matthew (Katherine), Catherine (Trenton), step-grandmother to Tammy (Ernie) and Terry (Beth) and caring great-grandmother to many. Also survived by her sister-in-law of Margaret Ferguson. Sister of the late Barbara Crawford and her husband Leighton (1990). She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was passionately proud that she was born and raised in Saskatchewan. As a teenager she moved to Port Dalhousie where her parents ran the Red & White Grocery Store. Later, she and her husband Andy owned and operated Ferguson’s Fruit Market. Deste lived on McNab Road for over 58 years until moving to St. Catharines. She adored the staff at Heidehof and her family thanks them for their care, friendship and compassion.
