Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Almonte Country Haven, Friday July 20, 2018. David Machan of RR2 Pakenham at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Margaret Thelma Scott. Dear father of Karen (Robert) Graham, Robert (Lorrie) and Beth Portt (Kevin). Predeceased by a son, Kevin. Father-in-law to Karen (Mike Newton). Dear grandfather of Allison Graham, Lee Graham (Chantal), Nathan Machan (Mary), Lauren Baron (Rob), Nicholas Machan (Anastasia), Taylor Machan, Gillian Portt (Adam French) and Natalie Portt (Will Thompson). Great-grandfather of Claire, Andrew, Chase, Violet, Roman, Aurora, Ashton, Lily and Jordan. Brother of Keith (Peggy) and Betty (late Jimmy Closs). Predeceased by siblings Willard, Marion, Agnes, Jack, Ora, Effie, Charlie and James. Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday July 26, 2018 at the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Pakenham. A donation in memory of David may be made to the Almonte Country Haven or to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Pakenham.
