SNODDON, DAVID ARTHUR “Art”
August 19, 1944 ~ October 16, 2018
On October 16, Art passed away at home at the age of 74.
He will be remembered by his loving wife Diane; children Annette, Tracy, Tina, Phillip, Cassey, and Josh; grandchildren Robert, Amanda, Barry, Stephanie, Samantha, Alissa, Twilla, Bret, Joelle, Cody, and Jordin; siblings Lorraine, Darlene, and Jerry. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Art was predeceased by his parents Dave and Hellen.
History – Art was born in Sutton West, Ontario. He worked a few jobs early on, being at a chicken farm at 16, The Telegram in Toronto at 18, and atruck driver for Randall in his 20’s. He worked for Sherritt from the 1980’s till his retirement in 2009. He loved to collect scale old model cars, and ball caps, as well as hunting and camping, he also loved NASCAR, Christmas and Thanksgiving, and fondly remembered the trip to Hawaii. Art was always happiest with his kids, grandkids and his siblings.
Always a fan of old country music, he’d love if you thought of him while listening to his favorite classic country and the oldies but goodies.
A memorial service will be at 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road NW, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Art’s name may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Edmonton Humane Society.
