Obituary of Charles Dunseath
DUNSEATH, Charles “John” Edmund – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia on June 21, 2018 at the age of 88. Charles is survived by his brother, Barrie Dunseath, of Wolverine, Michigan, his nieces, Jennifer Dunseath (Duane Branch) of Bellingham, Massachusetts, Kerry (Dunseath) Valois (Jean-Sébastien) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Diana Tashdjian of Toronto, and his nephew, Raffi Tashdjian (Maria), of Riverside, Rhode Island, as well as great-nieces and nephews, Albert and Erika Valois, and Tyler and Dylan Tashdjian. He is preceded in death by his spouse, Rose (Khandjian) Dunseath, parents, Charles “Chuck” and Irene “Rene” (Pinch) Dunseath, his brothers, Edward and Robert Dunseath, and his nephew, Kevan Dunseath. Charles was born in Wallasey, Cheshire, England on March 19, 1930. He worked his way up from a bank teller to an executive-level position in the banking industry where he spent his entire career, retiring in 1990. Charles enjoyed golfing, particularly when he could participate in “the tournament” with his brothers. He was also a passionate musician, who loved to play the guitar and the ukulele. He also loved to sing, and that love inspired him to join the Glee Club as well as other singing groups in the Sarnia area. He was also an avid supporter of multiple charitable organizations. Charles was a man of his word, and an all-around good guy that you could count on in good times and bad. He will be greatly missed. Charles will be cremated and his ashes transported to Rideau Memorial Gardens in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, for interment with his late wife, Rose. A celebration of his life will be held later, details to follow. Charles’s family would like to sincerely thank the nursing and volunteer staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their excellent care and understanding. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Blue Water Health in Sarnia, and in particular, Dr. Christopher T. Greensmith, for his excellent professional medical care. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia (www.stjosephshospice.ca/ ), The Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). Donations earmarked for melanoma skin cancer research are particularly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE.
