With heavy hearts and heartfelt sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend, Blair Devin Harris, age 22, on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
Born on March 12, 1996, Blair was the son of mother Sandi Steele (stepdad Shane MacLean), and father Blair Harris (stepmom Cathy Anne), sisters Kayla (Scott), North Sydney, and Carlie, Little Pond, along with grandmothers Ann Steele (Carter), and Serena Harris (Johnny), his special babies Hannah, Maddison and Jayce, and fur baby Chilli, many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Alyssa Steele, who was more like a sister.
Blair will be welcomed with open arms, hugs and kisses by his grandfathers Glen Steele and Freddy Harris, great-grandmothers Rose Steele MacKinnon, Louise LeMoine and Minnie MacDougall.
Blair was always the life of the party. He loved to dance and sing (even though he couldn’t hold a note), but was always up for a good time and a good laugh.
Blair had so many friends who love him like a brother, and he thought of all of you the same way. He only had 2 biological sisters, but gained so many “sis” and “bros” through all the friendships he encountered with all of you.
Blair was so affectionate he would never hang up a phone or leave a room without saying “Love Ya”, no matter who it was or who as around.
Visitation for Blair Harris will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Main St., Sydney Mines. A celebration of his life will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Family church, with Fr. James Oliver officiating. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
We will all miss him dearly, and carry on his spirit through everyone who knew him. You will continue to fill our hearts with love until we meet again. XO
