Beverley Russell
1920-2018
It is with great sadness that we report
the death of Beverley Francis Russell. Bev passed away at the Veterans
Health Unit, October 24, 2018, age 98. Bev was the son of the late
Barbara Dora Holt and Harry Jackson Russell of Doaktown, the brother
of the late Marian MacPherson and the husband of the late Margaret
(Allan) Russell. Bev was born in Charlo NB on January 3, 1920 and grew
up in Doaktown NB, right by the Mirimachi River. He moved to
Marysville, later Fredericton in 1945, after returning from WW11,
where he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a wireless air
gunner.
Bev was a long standing member of the Marysville
Air Force Association, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4,
Fredericton and the Masonic Hiram Lodge No6 of Fredericton.
Bev will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. We will
miss his zest for life, storytelling and mischievous nature.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Veterans Health Unit
for the wonderful care they consistently provided.

Memorial Gathering will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home,
160 York Street, Fredericton, on Saturday November
3, 2018 at 11am. For those who wish,
memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
