Barbara Kennedy (Copeman)
Barbara Kennedy of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 at the age of 58 years. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her son, Tim (Jessie Draper) Kennedy; two grandchildren, Sawyer Kennedy and Lexi-Lynn Kennedy; her brother, Chuck (Sheryl) Copeman; sister Amber Bjorgan (Mike Burns); stepbrother, Daryl Crockford; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Norma Copeman; one brother, Keith Copeman; stepmother, Ruby Copeman; and nephew Chad Copeman. Barbara was a valued employee with Redi Enterprises for many years. She enjoyed working with her co-workers and clients. She also spent time as a steel worker. Everyone who knew her considered her to be a strong woman. She loved renovating homes and was very crafty with sewing and leather work. She was an avid Harley rider and loved hanging out at the Royal Hotel. Barbara was an awesome grandmother who would do anything for anyone! Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL,1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 until 12:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. David J. Carter officiating. A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 200, 119 – 14th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta, T1A 7L5 or to The Lung Association, Alberta/NWT Division, P.O.
