In Loving Memory of B. Kathleen Allaby
Allaby, B. Kathleen, It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of B. Kathleen (Jewett) Allaby on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Kathleen was born in Jewetts Mills, NB. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Verna (MacCallum) Jewett; the fifth of their eight children. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Kathleen was very proud to have trained as an R. N. at the Chipman Memorial Hospital in St. Stephen, NB alongside her two sisters, Mabel and Ruth. After a brief nursing career, she put her skills to good use raising her family.
Kathleen is survived by her devoted and loving husband Dr. Cedric Allaby and her nine children; Cynthia Allaby-McCain (Fred), Cleveland (Susan), Cedric (Colleen), Deborah Everett, Robert (Pat), Carla Allaby-Boyd (Scott), Anne Dundas (Gary), Tracy Parrott (Andrew), Scott (Betty Chan). She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Service to Celebrate Kathleen’s Life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
