Lalonde, Aurel
Passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Pauline, daughter Suzanne and granddaughter Renee at age 84 on October 17, 2018 at the Sault Area Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Pauline, his daughter Suzanne and husband Tim Lamour, granddaughter Renee and husband Bobby Jensen, grandson Mathew and wife Samantha Gatien, and 5 great grandchildren Cameron, Morgan and Eizak Jensen and Hayden and Lucas Gatien. He is also survived by sister in law Julie and husband Paul Menard, sisters Helen and Ida Quesnel, brothers Rene, Remi and Armand, and nephews Denis and Jerry Lalonde. Predeceased by brothers Lionel and Doris Lalonde, sisters Lucille Lemieux and Rosalie Bedard and parents Anna Corsel and Toussaint Lalonde.
His beautiful smile and kind heart will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his wife and family.
Thank you to Dr. N Bowen and all the nurses on B and C 3rd floor at the Sault Area Hospital for their compassionate and loving care. Also we would like to thank Dr. M Naccarato, Dr. M Shamas, Dr. C Barnes, Dr. M Deverell and Dr. L Snajdrova and the nurses at the North Shore Health Network Blind River. Many thanks to the kitchen staff for their special touch with his meals. It was very much appreciated.
Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Calvary Gospel Church, 55 Queen St., Blind River, on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pastor Mark Francis officiating. Refreshments in church basement after burial.
