LALANDE, Anita (née David)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Wife of the late Eloi Lalande. Daughter of the late Stephen and the late Rosa (née Mainville) David. Loving mother of Hélène Anselmo (Mario) of Sudbury, Claire Lalande, Lorraine Everest of Ottawa and Estelle Lalande. Dear sister of Lucienne Burton (late Michael) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother Lucien (late Della) and by her sister Françoise Lalonde (late Robert). Cherished grandmother of David, Lianne, Lucia, Kelly, Kevin, Jordan, Matthew and great-grandmother of 9. Anita loved her flowers and gardening. She was a talented seamstress, made numerous quilts and also knitted. She was an avid reader and volunteered many years with Sudbury Regional Police Service. She enjoyed camping and playing cards and crib with family and friends. In keeping with Anita’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite D’Youville, Val Thérèse. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice are appreciated. Cremation to take place at the Cooperative Crematorium, Chelmsford.
