Alice Leonie Chaput, of Maryfield, beloved wife of the late Alphonse Chaput and loving aunt of Leanne Jackson and Rene Baudu, passed away at Maryfield on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 96 years.
Funeral service from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Wawota, on Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m.. with Fr. Wilfred Caliwan officiating.
Interment in the St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in memory of Alice.
Alice Leonie Marie Elisabeth Chaput (nee Baudu) passed away Nov. 4, 2018 at the Maryfield Sunrise Villa, in her 97th year.
Alice was the eldest of two, born June 18, 1922, in Cardinal, Man to Emile & Elisabeth Baudu. The family moved to Vandura, Sask. when Alice and brother, Andre were young and where they continued their schooling. Her parents and herself moved to Kipling for many years and then to Winnipeg in 1967. Alice worked most of her life in cashier/sales in different grocery stores. She worked until she was 57 when she married Alphonse Chaput. They were married for 14 yrs when Al succumbed to his battle with cancer..
Alice moved to Maryfield Villa in March of 2012, to be closer to her sister in law, Georgette and her niece and nephew; Leanne & Rene. Alice enjoyed playing cards and visiting, she was very social.
Alice has been blessed with a long and mostly healthy life. She still had her memory and her mind.
Alice is predeceased by her parents, her husband Al, her bother Andre, her sister in law Georgette.
Alice is lovingly remembered by her niece; Leanne & Chad Jackson, children; Remi, Shee (Blair) Ashley (Shane) great nieces & nephews; Knox, Andie, Berkley, Brock & Hardy. by her nephew; Rene & Shannon Baudu, children; Chauntel (Jason) Tenille (Greg), Renee, Kaela ( Matt) great nieces & nephews; Kinley, Raelyn, Bostyn, Addison & Logan, step daughter Dianne Demarcke, and many cousins and friends.
