Alice Ross passed away peacefully at Aspen Ridge Lodge, Didsbury, AB on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 89 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tarrel (Bob), Charlene (Errol), Greg (Elaine) and Scotty (Karen); 7 grandchildren, Michel, Tracy, Ross, Michael, Brandy, Andrea and Tony; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Leota and Edris; and brother, Lance.
Alice was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Andy; daughters, Debra and Kris; and son Randy. Alice was born in Didsbury and took her schooling in Didsbury and Sundre. She lived in Valley View for 44 years, Carstairs for 16 years and Didsbury for 2 years. Alice was very hard-working. She cooked in cafes, worked in the Meat Department of IGA and was the Postmistress for Valley View for 25 years. Alice enjoyed her life; watching sports such as curling, baseball, football and hockey. She was an avid fan of the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos. She enjoyed travelling and many family get-togethers on the farm. Alice was a fantastic cook and often shared her creations with everyone in the neighbourhood. Many people shared much laughter with Alice.
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will take place in Carstairs, AB on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Details will be announced at a later date.
