Allie passed away peacefully Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B. in the presence of loving family and caring staff.
She is survived by son, Bill, daughter-in-law, Winnifred, daughter, Lorraine, grandchildren; Kirsten and Ian, brother, Lowell, sisters-in-law; Roberta and Joanne, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her husband Fred « Tim » predeceased her as well as her brother George.
Allie was born February 24, 1925 in Nauwigewauk, N. B. to Clarence and Jean Henderson and continued to hold her birthplace and her childhood memories dear until her death.
As a young woman, she followed her cousin Lillian to St. Stephen to train as a nurse at the Chipman Memorial Hospital. She loved her profession especially her many years cuddling babies on the Maternity Ward of the Charlotte County Hospital. She met and married Tim and made St. Stephen her new home.
Allie was a generous and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her family was her passion. In addition to Nauwigewauk, her second love was her family cottage at Oak Bay, N.B.
There will be a celebration of Allie’s life at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, beginning with a visitation at 1 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m.
