Alexander Dallas
It is with deepest sympathy we acknowledge the passing of our beloved Alexander Dallas on the 18th of September, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada after an extended illness in the arms of his family. Born in Megara Greece on the 15th of December 1937 the oldest son of Ulysses and Anastasia Dallas’ children. At the age of 17, he braved rough seas with his mother to immigrate to Canada. Settling in Windsor, Ontario, Alex worked a variety of jobs at Chrysler, owning his own diner in Detroit, and working for National Coney Island in Detroit, each of which he worked with an incredible passion and work ethic, often staying late, and arriving early. He carried this work ethic to his home where there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, and if there was, he would learn. Alex had a passion for his Greek culture, electronics, family, dancing, and sharing his passion for all types of music, especially his beloved Rembetika Greek music. Alex is remembered for his infectious smile, incredible heart, courageous fight through a variety of illnesses, and unwavering zest for life.
He is survived by his beloved Vretania (Tania) Dallas of 44 years of Windsor, Ontario, and 3 of his children Angelo Dallas (Patricia), Maria Sutherland (Paul), and Tasia Dallas (Nate), his 4 grandchildren Alex Dallas, David Dallas, Alyssa Sutherland, and Alayna Sutherland, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends. Precedeceased in death by his parents Ulysses and Anastasia Dallas, his brother Konstantinos Dallas, and son Angelo Ulysses Dallas. His love and presence will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. May his memory be eternal.

Procession to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3052 Walker Road for a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens.
