I wish to announce that my best friend and husband, Alex Frank Nyuli, went home to be with his Lord June 7, 2018.
Alex was born March 23, 1931 in Bjorkdale, Saskatchewan to Rose and Frank Nyuli. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, great-grandson Jacob Johnson aged 9 and Alley Nyuli aged 21.
Alex owned and operated McLean’s Cafe from 1988-2013. He was also employed with the Vancouver Sun for 25 years.
Alex loved to play golf and was a member of Sunset… Read More » Ranch for 17 years. He also loved to hunt and watch and coach his children in many sports. In later years, he loved to watch his grand-daughters play hockey and loved to travel with the girl’s team. He also loved to walk his dog Griffin to the park.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 30 years, Evelyn Nyuli; daughter Michelle (Daran) Gillespie, Alex’s children; Calvin (Shelley) Nyuli, Carmen (Naomi) Nyuli, Curtis (Paula) Nyuli, Teena (Murray) Wright, Tami (Keith) Bozman, Tanis (Emmanuel) Grieve, 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild. Along with his 2 sisters Elsie Stang and Goldie Springnatic, brother-in-law Bill Davies, mother-in-law Elva Davies and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 15th from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at The Bridge Full Gospel Church – 2100 Gordon Drive, Kelowna.
